Alpaca is 5 times warmer than sheep wool; it is strong and resilient and has unique thermal capacities, which help create highly insulated, lightweight garments, which are perfect all year round.
There are approximately 3 million alapca living worldwide; 98% of them still live in Peru, Chile and Bolivia. The alpaca has co-existed with man for over 5 thousand years. They were treasured by the ancient ancestors of the Inca, who measured their wealth by the number of alpacas they owned and who draped themselves in fine woven garments, made from the fleece of their prized herds.
